Rare 1985 288 GTO auctioned in Europe
An iconic car, the 288 GTO is one undisputed racing cars from the 1980’s. Auctioned in Belgium October 8-10.
Ferrari shines again in another auction after the 2022 Monterey Car Week. In Belgium, another incredible model was auctioned in the weekend October 8-10. The 288 GTO, one of the most iconic mid-engine produced from Ferrari in the mid 80s, was the star of the show.

Ferrari unveils this PininFarina designed, Gran Turismo Omologata (Homologue) Ferrari 288, and with only 272 models produced, easy labeled as one of the most iconic GT cars produced in the 80s.
The engine is a supercharged V8 mid-engine, capable of 2855 CC and capable of delivering about 385 HP at 7000 RPM. This beauty is capable to reach a maximum speed of 190 mph and a 0-60 mph in just 4.9 seconds.

“His Majesty” as rebranded by Enzo Ferrari, is one of the most iconic designs born from the relationship between Ferrari and Pininfarina.
This rear architecture has been inspiration over the years and featured through newer models along the way.
